Hydroponic systems … and more

Who’s Archi?

Where did Archi’s Green Machine Come from?

We at Archi’s Acres Inc. pride ourselves in growing the finest quality produce available. Our produce is organically grown utilizing truly sustainable agricultural methods, using what’s considered re-circulating systems and soil less mediums, we are able to largely reduce the amount of water needed to grow our crops. These methods are already being used throughout the world, especially in countries where water is becoming scarce, such as Australia and Israel.

Many more farms in America are beginning to use these methods as well, as our water becomes more expensive and scarce. Using no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, we create an environment that is in balance with nature. It is the survival of the fittest theory, for example, aphid infestation which can create a huge problem for growers, can be avoided or combated with beneficial insects such as lace wings and lady bugs. Root disease can be avoided using enzymes, and plant growth can be sparked utilizing various additives such as sea weed extracts. Instead of fighting nature we use it in our favor.

Archi’s Acres Inc. is a small farm using the help of other small farms in order to give the small local farmer a chance to compete with the large companies, giving the consumer farm fresh produce as well as supporting the community by buying locally. Archi’s Acres Inc. is also committed to helping our veterans. Working with the Compensated Work Therapy/Veterans Industries (VI/CWT), a Department of Veterans Affairs, we teach basic growing techniques to wounded veterans and then employ them with other local farms and businesses. Attempting to encourage growth in the agricultural industries as well as helping our veterans who already have the best leadership qualities and work ethic. We are proud to serve our veterans and our community.

Founders of Archi's Acres: Karen & Colin Archipley

This progressive venture in small scale organic gardening embodies the vision of Sergeant Colin Archipley, the CEO and co-counder fo Archi’s Acres, Inc. Educational Hands On Training.  As a former Marine who served three tours of duty in Iraq, Sergeant Archipley’s infantry position gave him the teaching experience and tools necessary to instill confidence and work side-by-side with fellow  veterans who are returning to the workforce.  He understands the structure veterans are comfortable with and how to manage the demands of a civilian life.

Archi’s Green Machine is a prepackaged, complete system requiring only modest assembly.  The equipment is a scaled down version of the hydroponic systems employed at Archi’s Acres, suitable for virtually any location that receives sunshine.
